Jeffrey H. Dresner, M.D., F.A.C.P.
Chairman/Medical Director/Internal Medicine
Dr. Jeffrey H. Dresner is a specialist in Internal Medicine and has been with the group since 1987. Dr. Dresner served his internship and residency at Rhode Island Hospital/Brown University Program in Medicine in Providence, Rhode Island where his experience included primary patient care, supervision of medical intensive and cardiac care units with extensive emergency room and trauma center experience. He earned his medical degree from New York Medical College in Valhalla, New York, receiving the institution's "Cor et Manus" Service Award. A Cum Laude graduate of Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute in Troy, New York, he also was awarded a master's degree in biochemical pharmacology from the State University of New York/Roswell Park Graduate Division in Buffalo, New York. Board Certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine and a diplomat of the National Board of Medical Examiners, Dr. Dresner is a member of the American College of Physicians, Palm Beach County Medical Society, and the Florida Medical Association. Dr. Dresner joined the Palm Beach Medical Group after spending two years as a physician specialist in Internal Medicine at the Ruskin Community Health Center in Ruskin, Florida. He has also conducted extensive research in biochemical pharmacology, is the author of several professional articles and papers, and has presented research papers to the American Society of Clinical Pharmacology and Therapeutics and the National Student Research Forum. He is currently Chairman of the Department of Medicine at Columbia Hospital in West Palm Beach and also maintains staff privileges at Jupiter Medical Center. Dr. Dresner is married and has two children.
Brian M. Beaver, M.D., F.A.C.C.
Cardiology/Internal Medicine
Dr. Brian M. Beaver is Board Certified in both Internal Medicine and Cardiovascular Diseases. He has interests in pacemakers, echocardiography, preventive cardiology, and wellness. Dr. Beaver hopes to help patients who wish to take responsibility for their health. The key is to educate the patient about their disease to the point at which they can be involved in making choices to halt or reverse the disease process. Dr. Beaver did his undergraduate studies at Miami University in Oxford, Ohio. He received his MD from the University of Cincinnati. Five years of postgraduate training including a two year fellowship in Cardiology were completed at Ohio State University Hospitals. Board Certification and election to Fellow of the American College of Cardiology were attained in 1977.
Hans B. Bernhoft, M.D.
Internal Medicine
Dr. Hans B. Bernhoft is Board Certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine and has been practicing with the Palm Beach Medical Group for 21 years. He received his medical degree at Medical College of Ohio in Toledo, Ohio where he also completed his internship and residency training. He served as the Chief Resident and Instructor in Medicine at Medical College of Ohio. Dr. Bernhoft has served as director of the Department of Medicine and as Chief of Medicine at St. Mary’s Hospital in West Palm Beach. He is on staff at Columbia Hospital and Jupiter Medical Center. He is a member of the Florida Medical Association and the Palm Beach County Medical Society. In his spare time, he enjoys family, traveling, and is an avid fisherman. Dr. Bernhoft was voted one of Florida’s Best Doctor’s by Miami Metro Magazine.
Victor M. Molina, M.D.
Internal Medicine
Dr. Victor M. Molina is a native of Havana, Cuba. At the age of eleven, he and his family immigrated to the United States. He is fluent in both Spanish and English, he attended Rutgers College of Pharmacy in Piscataway, New Jersey and received his pharmacy degree in 1980. He graduated from Rutgers Medical School in 1984 and completed an internship and residency in Internal Medicine at Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital located in New Brunswick, New Jersey, in June 1987. Dr. Molina joined the Palm Beach Medical Group in July 1987. He is Board Certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine and a member of the American College of Physicians, Florida Medical Association, and the Palm Beach County Medical Society. He is currently a Clinical Assistant Professor of Medicine at Nova Southeastern College of Osteopathic Medicine and an active member of the Medical Staff at Columbia Hospital and past Chairman of the Pharmacy and Therapeutics Committee. He enjoys spending time with his wife and children. Dr. Molina has been serving his patients for over 20 years in Palm Beach County as part of the Palm Beach Medical Group.
David J. Stern, D.O., F.A.C.O.I.
Internal Medicine
Dr. David J. Stern joined the Palm Beach Medical Group in November of 2000 after being in private practice in the West Palm Beach area for the previous 17 years. He received his DO degree from the Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine and his BA degree in biology from LaSalle University. He completed his residency training at the Detroit Osteopathic Hospital/Bi-County Community Hospitals from 1979-1983. He is Board Certified in Internal Medicine and a Fellow of the American College of Osteopathic Internists. He is a member of the American Osteopathic Association, American College of Osteopathic Internists, Florida Osteopathic Medical Association, Florida Medical Society and the Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine Alumni Association. Dr. Stern was the Chief of Staff at Columbia Hospital for eight years from 1998-2006 and is currently on the Board of Trustees and the Treasurer of the Medical Executive Committee. He is on active staff at the Jupiter Medical Center in addition to Columbia Hospital. He is currently the Program Director for the newly established Internal Medicine residency at Columbia Hospital as well as the Associate Director of Medical Education for the Palm Beach Centre for Graduate Medical Education. He is an Associate Professor of Internal Medicine at Nova Southeastern College of Osteopathic Medicine. Dr. Stern spends his free time playing tennis, reading, working with computers and enjoys spending time with his wife and their three daughters.
Kenneth D. Sohn, M.D.
Internal Medicine
Dr. Kenneth D. Sohn was born in New York. He completed his undergraduate education at SUNY Binghamton, graduated medical school at SUNY Downstate in 1991, and completed his residency at Stony Brook in 1994. He eventually was a partner in a private practice in East Hills, New York, and was an active member of the teaching staff at North Shore Hospital. In 2004 he joined the Palm Beach Medical Group to be closer to relatives and enjoy a more active outdoor lifestyle, with his wife and daughters. Dr. Sohn educates his patients regarding their illnesses. He is a firm believer that his role is to be the “quarterback” to help manage and coordinate the complexities of medical care sometimes with sub-specialists in the 21st century. He attempts to motivate his patients to make the lifestyle changes toward better health.
Richard P. DeGaetano, D.O.
Internal Medicine
Dr. Richard P. DeGaetano received his Medical Degree from the New York College of Osteopathic Medicine in June 2000. After completing medical school, he embarked on his training with the United States Army and finished his Internal Medicine Residency Training at Eisenhower Army Medical Center in Augusta, Georgia. In 2003, Dr. DeGaetano continued his service in the Army and was stationed at Fort Hood, Texas. He was assigned as Battalion Surgeon for the 1-67th Armor, 2nd Brigade, 4th Infantry Division and deployed to Iraq in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom. Upon returning to the United States, he spent the rest of his military career as a United States Army Major at Darnall Army Medical Center, Fort Hood, Texas. He presided as Chief of Internal Medicine Services, Chief of Respiratory Therapy Services, and Director of the Coumadin Clinic for the facility. In May 2007, he and his family moved to Stuart, Florida and is now the newest associate of the Palm Beach Medical Group. Dr. DeGaetano is a member of the Medical Staff at both Columbia Hospital and Jupiter Medical Center. He is certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine and is a member of the American College of Physicians and the Palm Beach Medical Society. Dr. DeGaetano wants to be a partner with his patients and help them attain the quality health-care they deserve. Through innovative treatments, team-work, and most of all, clear communication; he will help his patients achieve this goal and prevent the promotion of debilitating illnesses.
